AN ARTIST AT HOME: DONALD SAAF

Where do you work best at home?

I work in an old barn that has been converted into a studio.
It's just about 20 feet away from my back door, so it's not a far commute.
I also like to get up early and work in the kitchen, when no one's around.

What time of day would we find you there?

Anytime after the kids get off to school, and sometimes late at night.

What is your favorite comfort food while you work at home?

Peanuts, fruit, coffee in the morning, tea in the afternoon. Good chocolate and muffins any time of day.

How does home feed into your work?

I like to have the art making woven into the fabric of the day,
mixed in with various chores and walking the dog.
A lot of times my family and animals will end up in my pictures.
